MYTHICAL AMBASSADORS

Mythical Routes embraces and promotes many environmental actions, that are coherent with our Awareness Programs, and aim to promote adventure life, explore remote locations, visit important historic sites and help educate the adventure community. Most of our ambassadors are environmental stewards and participate in creating a brighter future for our children.

Tan was born in 1979 in Istanbul, Turkey. He studied Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, then in 2001 he went to Los Angeles to attend the world-renowned American Film Institute Conservatory and earned a Masters's Degree in Production Design in Film. After returning home in 2005 he established himself as one of the leading commercial directors, mainly shooting tv spots for major local and global brands such as Toyota, Fiat, ING Bank, Axa Insurance, Media Markt, L’Oreal, Pantene, Lipton, Faber Castell, Ford, Kinder, Danone, U.S. Polo Assn. and many more.

Other than making films, his other passions are riding adventure motorcycles and free camping. He is a Mythical Routes Ambassador since 2020 and the co-creator of the ADV Hellas and ADV Anatolia documentaries.

ADV Anatolia is a non-profit project, part of our rider exchange and awareness programs, with a single goal to be a one-stop source for all local and international adventure riders traveling through Turkey every year.

Gregorio is a Navy Commander, Mountain Engineer, and photographer who through his artistic work helped showcase the many environmental problems of the Epirus region in Greece.

Epirus is facing a threat with catastrophic consequences for the environment, livestock farming, crops, livestock farming, and the ever-growing tourist product. Exports of hydrocarbons (oil and gas) pose a threat to public health and a serious deterioration of the protected areas of Epirus.

Epirus is a geographical and historical region in southeastern Europe. It lies between the Pindus Mountains and the Ionian Sea, stretching from the Bay of Vlorë and the Acroceraunian mountains in the north to the Ambracian Gulf and the ruined Roman city of Nicopolis in the south.

A rugged and mountainous region, Epirus was the northwest area of ancient Greece. It was inhabited by the Greek tribes of the Chaonians, Molossians, and Thesprotians, and home to the sanctuary of Dodona, the oldest ancient Greek oracle, and the most prestigious one after Delphi. Unified into a single state in 370 BC by the Aeacidae dynasty, Epirus achieved fame during the reign of Pyrrhus of Epirus who fought the Roman Republic in a series of campaigns. Epirus subsequently became part of the Roman Republic along with the rest of Greece in 146 BC, which was followed by the Roman Empire and Eastern Roman Empire.

Giannis was born in Chania, Crete, and is one of our oldest motorcycle friends. Giannis has traveled extensively on his trustworthy BMW R1200GS, on solo expeditions for the most part, and has visited some of the most interesting motorcycle destinations in the world, Pamir highway, and Nordkapp being some of the most noteworthy. In his own words,

Alexandria Eschate or Alexandria Eskhata (Greek Ἀλεξάνδρεια Ἐσχάτη), modern Khojand in Tajikistan, literally "Alexandria the Farthest", was a city founded by Alexander the Great, at the south-western end of the Fergana Valley (modern Tajikistan) in August 329 BC. Alexandria Eschate Alexandria Ultima retained its Hellenistic culture as late as 30 BC.

Alexandria Eschate was the Northernmost outpost of the Greek Empire in Central Asia (N40° 17.097' E69° 37.108')
