Architectural Background
Angelo Baltoyannis (Άγγελος Μπαλτογιάννης) was born in Athens, to a father from Epirus and a mother from Preveza.
He studied Architecture at Sapienza Università di Roma and graduated from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). His postgraduate work focused on History of Architecture, Bioclimatic Design, and Urban Planning.
Since 2000, Angelo has worked as a senior architect and partner in several Athenian practices. In 2010, he founded Baltoyannis Architects, a studio emphasizing sustainable design and historical research.
His background in art, environmental sensitivity, and use of advanced technology have shaped two decades of distinct architectural practice.
From Architecture to Exploration
Driven by the same curiosity that fuels his design work, Angelo extended his creative expression into the world of adventure travel and documentary storytelling.
Through collaborations with brands such as BMW, KTM, Alpinestars, Klim, Enduristan, and AltRider, and features in Overland Journal, iFocus Magazine, Overland Times, and Nikon Greece, his visual work began connecting space, culture, and movement.
This evolution gave birth to Mythical Routes — a project where architecture meets adventure, transforming the study of place into an experience of motion.
Angelo continues to merge design thinking, environmental respect, and historical understanding to craft journeys that reveal the architectural soul of Greece and Anatolia.
